We are hiring for a Senior Java Engineer in Chicago, IL supporting one of our largest clients in the financial industry!
This is a Long-Term W2 Consulting opportunity . Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience developing Java/J2EE Applications ideally within financial enterprise environments. This role is primarily a back end development opportunity, so we are seeking demonstrated skills in Java 8, Spring Framework, Spring Boot Microservices, RESTful Webservices (API's), and AWS. We are looking for candidates local to the Chicago, IL area or who are open to relocating as this position will eventually be on-site in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities:- Define, design, construct, integrate, test and support reliable solutions.
- Design and create highly available, scalable and maintainable applications.
- Address business opportunities, including systems analysis, creating specifications, coding, testing, and implementation.
- Implement application programs and data interface.
- Requires domain experience in application development.
- Responsible for overall design and architecture including systems that interface with different applications.
- Ensure all application design and coding is consistent with best practices and industry standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, MIS, or related fields.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of Back End Java Development.
- Hands on coding experience in Java 8, Spring Boot (microservices), RESTful API Integration.
- Experience configuring and deploying CI/CD Pipelines using (Jenkins/Git).
- Must have cloud experience with AWS using services like EC2, S3, and Lambda, other plus skills with AWS include CloudFormation, SNS, SQS, ELB.
- Knowledge or experience with Data Messaging Tools or Data Streaming services with (Kafka, Scala or Spark).
- Some knowledge of UI (Angular, React, Vue, Nodejs)
- Current or past experience working within financial environments.
- AWS Certified Associate Certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Java Development Certified Professional.
- Sun Certified Java Programmer
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Java.
