What We'll Bring:As Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of Transunion's Datacenter routing and switching platforms and DNS strategy. You will provide technical thought leadership for developing Next Generation software defined datacenter technologies.
In this critical role, you will collaborate with other engineers to develop IT strategy that aligns to business strategy. You'll be responsible for working with different business units to develop the engineering design that supports the business and operational requirements for new and existing systems.What You'll Bring:- Part of a team that manages, maintains and scales enterprise routing, switching and DDI solutions.
- Research, evaluate and build emerging network technologies to develop a compatible system infrastructure in line with organizational strategies.
- Participate in datacenter refresh, migration and consolidation projects.
- Part of a team that conducts code, system and process reviews to identify areas of potential vulnerability; develops security patching plans based on risk assessment.
- Design, build, enhance and integrate the infrastructure required to support various platforms and our business portfolio.
- Execute multiple, large projects in a cross functional environment through DevOps and Agile project management methodology.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly proficient and hands-on experience in following communication protocols TCP/IP, MBGP/BGP, OSPF and VXLAN.
- 5+ years' experience with Cisco and Arista routers and switches in a Data Center/ WAN infrastructure.
- Advance level understanding of Cisco Nexus series (9K ACI and 7K) datacenter networking
- Detailed understanding of DNS Bind, DNS Loadbalancing (GTM).
- 5+ years' experience with implementation and maintenance of InfoBlox DDI solution.
- Prior experience in cloud connectivity initiatives, experience with Azure and AWS preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Design, implement and maintain network connectivity across hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Adhere to and mature the best practices for the support and deployment of our infrastructure across the enterprise stack.
- Be a subject matter expert in reducing and resolving production incidents.
- Enhance proactive monitoring and drive proactive remediation efforts.
- Enable tooling and process for L1/L2 operations to identify and resolve most of the datacenter incidents.
