- Establish and implement the strategic direction of the company engineering and development initiatives and execute this strategy in collaboration with company leadership.
- Bring a unique perspective of technology and innovation trends and help drive the business strategy through technical ownership of the product.
- Establish, communicate, and implement engineering policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations in an agile environment.
- Establish and nurture an engineering culture that fosters innovation and creativity.
- Recruit and attract high caliber engineering talent.
- Guides the development of the IT organization to ensure appropriate skills are in place to align with department strategy needs, including succession planning for unique skills.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Balance a dynamic environment with attention to quality, performance, and stability.
- Provide technical leadership on critical back-end and infrastructure work streams and initiatives

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field. Master's degree a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with experience leading on and offshore teams in start-up/growth software companies.
- Industry experience within Healthcare IT (preferably on the patient-facing side) + knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Extensive experience in releasing products in a fast-paced business environment.
- Demonstrated technical skills using: Angular, NodeJS, hapi framework, and Python on an AWS stack. Data science/machine learning a plus.
- Experience with agile methodologies, infrastructure technologies, architecture transformation (SoA), and a deep understanding of how to build and release SaaS and Cloud based services.
- Ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a team while working closely on a technical level.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities and history of success working with executives and leaders across an organization.
