WFCF offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing, purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.The Regional Underwriting Manager's (RUM) primary responsibility is to build, train and manage a diverse team of underwriters and analysts and liaise with all departments in the Channel Finance Division involved in both the new business process and portfolio modification process to ensure a timely and seamless loan approval and closing process with the primary goal of being the highest quality and best in class in the industry. The RUM will lead by example and help design, execute, collaborate and manage all elements of the underwriting process as well as mentor and coach the underwriting team. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining a best in class underwriting team capable of quickly identifying key risk issues, creatively structuring to the extent possible around these issues, prepare a well constructed, concise and well written approval document and provide recommendations to the deal team, Division Leadership Team and Corporate Credit team. The RUM will create and sustain an environment of continuous process improvement in collaboration with the Channel Finance Division Manager, the Channel Finance Region Managers and the Channel Finance Sales teams. They will help develop a multi-generational plan to drive continuous cycle time improvement and conversion rates. Other responsibilities include mentoring and coaching of direct reports, work with Division Manager and HR to develop a goals and objectives for the group and provide both the Relationship Management team and Sales teams with support on transactions through the early read and screening process.Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. Required Qualifications6+ years of asset based lending underwriting and lending experience
