- Sound experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of Linux including shell scripting and basic system administration.
- An inquisitive mindset and a willingness to question designs and implementations.
- A huge appetite to learn and master new technologies and identify new technological solutions to problems.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and implementations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable in a cross-functional environment, dealing with change and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, logical/reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, advanced degrees preferred.
- Experience developing Cloud applications, preferably on AWS and/or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with Design patterns, Cloud & Microservice Design patterns.
- AWS / Azure certification
- Planning/Process Management: Participate in PI planning and spring backlog refinement sessions. Prepares time estimates for all phases of development projects. Evaluates estimates against actual occurrences. Actively participates in post-implementation review.
- Coding: Serve as technical SME on designing and developing high performance, scalable and flexible micro services. Works closely with virtual teams to design, develop, implement and maintain software services. Performs and participates in code walkthroughs and architectural reviews.
- Communication and Documentation: Provides input to peers, and management for recommendations and alternate solutions and/or improvements. Conveys and insures the understanding of technical strategies and vision to project participants. Publishes appropriate architecture principles and standards, blueprints, best practices, patterns and frameworks.
