Job Description
Join us and we will train you to be an Infection Preventionist (You must already have an active Registered Nurse RN or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN license.)What you'll do:
- Develop &implement the infection control program (ICP) in accordance withcurrent IDPH regulations for our SNF environment.
- Maintain compliance with current CDC, OSHA, and local regulationsto provide staff education and training as needed
- Perform Infection (ICP) Surveillance; tracking & trending and developing action plans accordingly
- Lead the weekly Infection Control QAPI meetings
- Routinely monitor antibiotics usage &physician prescribing practices

Qualifications
Infection Preventionist (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse)What we need from you:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in IL
- You must successfully pass theCDC infection Prevention Training Course within your first 60 days of employment
- Experienced in Long Term Care or Post-Acute Care preferred
- Must have experience with an electronic documentation system, preferably PCC
