Our company is looking for a Cloud Engineer with excellent interpersonal skills who has proven experience using DevOps methodologies to implement solutions in AWS. The Cloud Engineer, based in Chicago, will be supporting senior technical resources on client engagements to help lead the way for cloud adoption. In collaboration with other leaders in the firm, you will focus on designing, building, migrating and optimizing solutions leveraging AWS services. What Youll Do- Leverage common Infrastructure as Code tools to define AWS network configurations
- Utilize Configuration Management and Continuous Deployment tools to orchestrate delivery of applications to stateless and stateful stacks and resources
- Define and connect multiple on-premises networks to AWS
- Cross-connect AWS accounts/organizations
- Define dynamic connection plans for organizations, assist client networking teams with edge and core networking related to their AWS connections
- Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
- Certifications related to cloud provider preferred
- Certifications from one premier networking vendor preferred (Cisco, Palo, Aruba, Juniper, etc)
- 2-3 years of experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- 3-5 years of experience with defining, configuring, and troubleshooting:
- routing configurations
- firewall configurations
- VPN connections (site-to-site)
- WAN configurations
- Scripting experience on Linux or Windows (Bash, Python, PowerShell) including use of the AWS SDK or CLI
- Experience defining cloud networking resources on AWS, specifically VPCs, VPNs, Transit Gateways, WAF, and DirectConnect
- Experience utilizing common source control systems (git, VSTS, SVN) and project structure/organization
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
