Location: Chicago, IL Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Modeler -Mid
This job will have the following responsibilities:- Assist the technical lead in monitoring system performance and availability to include system problem resolution, root cause analysis and ensuring all schedules are running successfully and set up alerts to be notified when schedules fall.
- Will participate in design, installation and configuration of the system for new implementation, upgrades and maintenance.
- Will provide weekly audit reports for all BI users logins, permission changes and usage reports by group.
- Will assist the technical lead in validation of hardware setup, impact analysis, performing application installation, configuration and security.
- Will conduct work load analysis on production environment and conduct regular BI repository maintenance, to include weekly restart of production services and on other environments, as necessary.
- Experience with the entire Business Objects application suite and experience managing and sizing Business Objects application servers, delivering and supporting quality, high-performance business systems is required.
- Experience working with end users to design universes that meet the needs of the business and creates quality and consistency of reporting across multiple areas.
- Excellent troubleshooting and good customer service skills.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes.
- Ability to maintain own workflow and meet deadlines to best meet departmental and organizational goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills.
- Mid-Level: Skills equiv. To 3-5 years in comparable position.
- Strong Data Modeling / Data Mining / Data Analytics skills
- Strong ETL skills
- Strong Business Intelligence Skill set (doesn't matter what stack)
- Tableau preferred
- Power BI
- SSRS
