Director, Finance

Job Description

We are searching for a Director, Finance to lead our finance and operational analysisand act as a strategic business partner to our leadership team. As the leader of our internal business functions, you will develop and overseeNetwork Perception’s financial planning and process, models and budgets, general operating metrics and KPIs, and lead strategic projects in support of improving organizational operating efficiency and effectiveness.

Although the role is heavily focused on financial analysis, modeling, and strategy, we’re a small team and we wear many hats - you can expect to participate in broader organizational initiatives such as customer discussions, facilities management, IT, procurement, and other general day to day operational activities.

• Create and overseeamonthly reporting package for senior leadership to improve organizationaltransparency into ourfinancial and operational health and any key trends.
• Perform variance analysis on budgeted vs. actual results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, as well as monitor other key business trends.
• Leverage strategic insights from financial and operating metrics to recommend adjustments to more effectively and efficiently meet business goals.
• Lead ad hoc reporting and operational projects as necessary to support the broader business and operations teams.
• Create presentations on financial and operatioinal performance, as well as business strategy and developments to be shared with key stakeholders.
• Oversee A/R operations– track and report on customer invoicing, monitor open invoice status, and collaborate with internal teams on any payment or contract issues.
• Collaborate with cross functional partners in sales, marketing, product, and professional services to solve business problems impacting the growth and strategy of Network Perception.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and MBA preferred
• 4+ years of corporate FP&A or other financeexperience, preferably in SaaS or B2B software industry
• Strong examples of strategic leadership work in owning and presenting financial statements, models, and metrics to senior leadership, investors, and other parties
• Past experience with accounting and finance software such as Quickbooks, Intacct, or Netsuite and sales / customer CRMs
• An ability to keep close attention to detail and identify variances in key financial and operational KPIs
• The ability to foster collaboration across departments and functions to facilitate progress towards broader organizational goals (i.e. “see the forest through the trees”)
• A willingness to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a small, close knit team
