DescriptionIf you have prior training in finance, Robert Half Finance may have an excellent Financial Analyst opportunity for applicants with strong communication skills. Does working on a growing team sound appealing to you? In this role, you will be conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a full-time employment opportunity, is located in the Chicago, Illinois. Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date

Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting

Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation and prioritization, and event tracking and execution

Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team

Gather and oversee forecasting reports

Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed

Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources

An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

Requirements

Budget forecasting experience preferred

Cash Flow Forecasts experience

Cash forecasting experience preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of pricing analysis

Proficiency in Cash Flow Forecasts

Adeptness in Profit Loss

Solid understanding of financial analysis

General familiarity with sales analysis & reporting

Financial analysis & planning (go-to-market experience preferable)

BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
