Job Title:Financial Analyst - Research & Clinical TrialsDepartment:ResearchShift:1stFull/Part:Active Regular FT (72 to 80 hours per pay period)Specialty:FinanceJob Number:2019-3945Job Description:Financial Analyst – Research & Clinical TrialsPosition Highlights:Under general supervision, reporting directly to Manager, Research Finance, performs a supporting role in the financial and operational activities of the Clinical Research Administration Division within the Office of Research Affairs. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Position Responsibilities:

Support Clinical Investigators with sponsored clinical trials by generating invoices, submitting them to sponsors, documenting the account receivables, following-up with collection activities, and producing reports.

Establish and facilitate the monthly production of financial reports with analysis of expenses and revenue.

Review credit balances, post payments, distribute payments, and make adjustments, as needed.

Coordinate and reconcile revenue received to bank statements and accounting system reports.

Comply with institutional guidelines for posting accounts payable and accounts receivable within the appropriate timeframes.

Communicate with the study teams to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Assist in the development of training materials to ensure the logging of completed study visits is efficient and effective.

Provide oversight, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.

Assist in the account close-out process

Set reasonable revenue targets and formulate strategy for maximizing revenue.

Interact professionally with all employees and external customers

Demonstrate desire to continuously improve skills through professional development efforts

Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage duties

Perform work in a neat, organized, timely and efficient manner

Position Qualifications Include:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.

Three years of experience in financial analysis.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Detail oriented, organized and ability to work independently and prioritize workflow.

Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
