Genuent is hiring a Front End Developer for our direct client in the Chicago, IL area. This is a 12 month remote contract to hire with a tentative start date of May, 16. As a Front End Developer on the application development team, you will help design and build multiple intuitive and leading-edge applications used by our customers to help manage their supply chain. Responsibilities - Build critical user interfaces for customers from wireframes
- Implement solutions with the development team; write code, create components and modules that meet development requirements
- Write manageable code and unit tests and create relevant documentation
- Participate in client/user meetings as required
- Build a re-useable web component library.
- Understand the functionality being developed to provide support to the team
- Engage in code reviews, pair-programming and collaborative problem analysis with teammates
Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification - Four-year degree in computer science, or information systems or equivalent
Knowledge & Experience - 3+ years' experience with Angular, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML and CSS, Git
- Familiar with agile and scrum processes.
- Experience writing unit tests with Jasmine (or equivalent)
- Creating end to end test with Cypress (or equivalent)
- Excellent ability to communicate and work effectively with teammates
- Work experience in the logistics industry a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus
