We are unable to sponsor as this is a permanent full time roleA prestigious company is on the search for an Infrastructure Project Manager. This company is looking for someone who grew up technically in their career and then got into project management. They need someone who can work in a fast paced, real time environment. They will work on Infrastructure, networks, servers, and Linux environment. Responsibilities:
- For assigned Infrastructure projects, define and document project scope, requirements, deliverables, stakeholders and prepare high level project plans
- Schedule and conduct project meetings throughout project duration
- Short term tactical project planning as well as longer term strategic planning
- Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes
- Prepare and distribute to stakeholder’s project status reports (including Executive sponsor) on a periodic basis appropriate to project phase and need
- Work with Infrastructure management and finance to develop and maintain project budget details and procure Infrastructure assets
- Work with Infrastructure group management and Compliance to coordinate SEC, CFTC and other document requests for audits
- Technical background preferred and ability to learn and adapt
- Knowledge of network and server design principles in low latency / high throughput networks
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management software
- Experience with Microsoft Visio
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Availability to work extra hours (including weekends) as needed
- Ability to work well in a dynamic team oriented environment
- Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially regarding technical matters
- Preferred understanding, knowledge and experience of Atlassian’s JIRA
