IT Asset Coordinator

DUTIES:

  • Manage Hardware Inventory for Client Locations
  • Manage the Inventory Stock Rooms for Client as required
    • Receive hardware
    • Ensure new devices are asset tagged
    • Route packing lists to procurement
    • Ensure hardware is used for the project and/or allocation
    • Ensure inventory integrity
    • Perform regular inventory counts and reconciliation reports.
  • Manages process to ensure equipment is distributed to DSS per the documented guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing the list of equipment for pick-up by disposal company
  • Run weekly inventory checks
  • Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation report
  • Research reports of lost assets to determine if the assets can be found.
  • Help address assignment/location discrepancies in the AMDB
  • Submit lost asset reports
  • Attend Meetings as required
  • Update AMDB for any asset movements assigned to Asset Coordinator
  • Minimizes organizational cost by maintaining inventory integrity
  • Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware in the stock rooms
  • Under general direction, prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other areas of the Company, etc.
  • Ability to analyze data and build tables, pivots, charts, and graphs as required within Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensures that requests for action or information are relayed to appropriate staff members; ensures that information is furnished in a timely manner; decides whether a higher authority should be notified of important or emergency matters.
  • Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and contributes to the safety of co-workers and the public.
  • Operate a computer terminal and utilize necessary software applications
  • Willing and able to follow instruction, assist in training of co-workers, and cooperate with other employees and customers.
  • Performs responsibilities in a manner that clearly shows effective communication and cooperation and that promotes open exchange of information, respect, high ethical standards, and professionalism.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients to receive information and data.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in department practices and procedures.
  • Ability to solve a range of basic problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills desired
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Positive attitude and an emphasis on customer service is a requirement
  • Basic knowledge of the IT industry, computer HW/SW and Operating Systems a plus

EDUCATION:

At least 3 years of applicable experience

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel is a must.
