Our client is the leading national provider of high-quality, relationship-based home care for seniors and people living with disabilities, and uniquely positioned as the home care company of choice.They are currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Principal Engineer who will provide leadership, vision, and direction to the IT Infrastructure team. This is a remote position. The IT Principal is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all third-party and internally managed IT infrastructure used to support all business and process across 175 offices in 13 states. This includes servers, desktops, voice, network, and Identity services. This individual will have solid technical infrastructure experience and ability to be a hands-on "player-coach , strong project management acumen, excellent vendor management skill, plus a superior, service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations.The ideal candidate has a proven track record in leading infrastructure and security teams in the design, implementation and support of enterprise scale networks, server virtualization and cloud infrastructure in high performance and high availability environments. An excellent communicator and team builder who can collaborate with security and application teams to improve the maturity of processes and documented procedures. Responsibilities:
- Lead technical architecture and engineering efforts to migrate to the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Leading infrastructure engineering for network, server, workstation, and mobile platforms
- Architect and engineering client / server computing environment including software distribution, patch deployment and configuration management of all connected systems
- Lead network engineering function including SDWAN implementation and VOIP standardization projects
- Organize a Disaster Recovery framework and oversee implementation of the approach to ensure business continuity, appropriate backup procedures, and preservation of IT assets
- Manage vendor relationships supporting IT Infrastructure
- BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study
- 5-10 years of experience in a technical position in Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, DevOps or a similar role
- 2-5 years of experience as an Infrastructure leader, Manager, Team Lead, or a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and migrating physical infrastructure to the cloud. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, IaC
- Experience in Linux and Windows administration and virtualization using VMWare, Citrix, Terminal Services, VDI, etc.
- In depth experience implementing directory services (AD / LDAP), Single-Sign-On (SSO) via SAML, Multi-factor authentication (MFA). Experience implementing Okta and Universal Directory
- In depth understanding of network technologies, TCP / IP, OSI, SDWAN and Zero Trust
- Knowledge of voice technologies including POTS, VOIP and contact center applications
- Experience with containers and associated technology such as Docker
- Experience in patch deployment and managing platform upgrades
- Managing a geographically disperse team of remote workers
