Job Title:Lab Tech

Client Location:Chicago IL

Role:Onsite

Contract/Direct Hire06 MONTHS.

Qualification:

Education: The successful candidate will possess a four-year degree in a science field; Chemistry is preferred, but Biology, Physics, etc., will also be considered. This role will focus 70% of the time on lab data entry. Files retain samples in appropriate holding areas And enters test data into our SAP or LIMS systems files vendor certifications and raw materials and production inspections in the proper area.

Skills: Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience using wet chemistry and testing oil-based products. Microsoft Office proficiency SAP or LIMS computer systems is a plus. The ideal applicant will work well in a fast-paced environment and will be able to handle stressful situations constructively. Excellent verbal and good written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities: Participates in general housekeeping, including routine cleaning and maintenance, and performs other duties requested by management. Performs and documents periodic calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment. Completes data reviews for out-of-specification test results issuing SPC charts of historical results. Optimizes and recommends lab improvements to support 5S initiatives.
