JOB SUMMARY:

Illinois Sport Service, located at Guaranteed Rate Field (333 W. 35th Street), manages the Concession Department for a major league baseball team. We are looking for PART-TIME, SEASONAL Seat Vendors. This position sells food/beverage products to guests in the seating area throughout the ballpark. YOU MUST PASS A CRIMMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
POSITION SUMMARY
Can make you own schedule as long as you work at least 25 of the games during the season
Sells food and beverage products to guests throughout the venue (i.e. peanuts, popcorn, soda, candy)
Circulates among guests within assigned section and calls out items for sale
Hands or passes items sold to guests, receives payment, and makes required change.
Checks out items to replenish stock, turns in money for sales
Supplies one's own money for bank to use for guest's change
Stocks items assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be at least 16 years of age to sell food products
Availability to work 15 games throughout the baseball season, including nights and weekend and holidays
Self-motivated with a high level of self-confidence to aggressively sell assigned items
Ability to raise and project voice to market and sell product for entire length of shift
Superb customer service skills with a friendly, pleasant demeanor, as well as strong communication skills to communicate with guests
Basic math skills, so you can accurately account for cash and inventory
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, dependable and punctual
Frequent walking throughout venue for entire length of shift
Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently for entire length of shift
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs to 50 lbs
