Project Management - Senior Project Manager #54253 Duration: 12 monthsLocations: Hybrid onsite desired

Job Description:
  • The Sr. Project Manager role requires experience leading large-scale, complex projects/programs spanning multiple organizations or business units.
  • The individual will be required to communicate with all levels of leadership from various departments and be able to effectively communicate at the program level as well as dive into both technical and non-technical project details.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership, Scoping, Planning and Execution – Leads and directs high-priority / very complex projects or programs, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration.
  • Requirements Gathering – Drives necessary requirements gathering activities to scope out the project or program and build out necessary artifacts like a project charter
  • Communication – Leads, Manages or generates necessary communications and deployment activities for your projects or programs
  • Stakeholder Management – Drives stakeholder management working with key stakeholders (e.g. business, IT management, external vendors) to establish and gain consensus on project/program goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Project Change Control & Performance – Actively manage scope of projects /programs and measure performance to assure the project/program is progressing as compared to scope, plan and budget.
  • Project Plan Development - Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are completed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Project Financials – Develop the budget for a project or program and ensure that the project/program is being delivered at or under budget. Be able to provide necessary details around project/program financials to the Portfolio Managers as needed • Project Risk and Issue Management - Proactively manage risk and issues and makes recommendations based on current project/program status to resolve issues and manage risks. Manages a risk, mitigation plan.
  • Transition to Operations - Ensures a smooth transition to Operational / Run support post application deployment.
  • Project Standards & Clarizen Adherence – Ensure that the projects/programs that are being managed, adhere to the standards set by the Global Technology PMO and ensure their project/program details are updated and maintained according to those standards within the Clarizen tool

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, technology, business administration, finance, engineering, or related fields
  • Advanced degree a plus Licenses/Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
  • Agile Certification preferred
  • ITIL/ITSM foundations preferred
  • 8+ years of proven experience in Stakeholder Management and Project/Program Management including planning, organizing, monitoring, and leading complex projects/programs with a technology focus
  • 5+years in systems and project/program management, including building workflow maps, project/program timelines, and artifacts
  • 5+ Strong practical experience in IT services- Network, Architecture, Service Now, End User Computing, Financial applications, Cloud based organizations (ITIL/ITSM foundations preferred)
  • Demonstrate and Educate as a Deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Stakeholder Management and Project/Program Management processes and tools
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and provide necessary structure for projects/programs
  • Experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience with software methodology development processes
  • Ability to create presentations and write business cases for senior leadership
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple key business priorities
  • Complex problem-solving and ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Project/Program budgeting/costing expertise
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to influence without authority and work in a matrix organizational environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and Visio
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and best practices applied to technology. With advanced knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Clarizen, Smartsheets, Excel, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of portfolio management, portfolio risk management, and performance metrics management Strong knowledge of resource management and allocation
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management
  • Ability to identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders and sponsors
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and spur change and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
  • Ability to facilitate and drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders. Familiarity with Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and supplier contract management.
  • Ability to lead and manage outsource project/program teams
  • Strong Project/Program Management competencies and understanding of how to apply PM processes for pragmatic approach to project/program management
  • Strong deployment background and understanding of how-to best plan and execute technology based projects/programs
  • Strong operational and financial acumen (driving best value through projects/programs
  • Strong understanding of business analysis, change management and performance improvement concepts
  • The successful candidate will be self-confident, results-oriented, persuasive and influential
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management Capabilities with experience holding all types of leadership levels accountable
  • Ability to present and communicate successfully at leadership meetings which requires excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
