- Excellent knowledge in SDLC and QA contribution for in the Lifecycle
- Design test strategies, Test scenarios, and define test cases for highly complex projects.
- Define strategies for Test Data creation and Regression Automation.
- Hands-on experience in Testing /automation of ETL Applications using Abinitio, Express IT(TDM/TFW), SQL and UNIX scripting skills
- Hands-on experience working on Abinitio with the ability to create reusable graphs/utilities using GDE.
- Ability to work in collaborative teams located across the globe and cross-functional technologies.
- Experience in estimating the efforts required for testing.
- Good Verbal and Written communication and excellent analytical/critical thinking skills.
- Experience working in Agile Framework.
- Must be able to own the QA role throughout each project including but not limited to: consume requirements, write and execute tests (manual and automated), monitor testing progress, report status, find and log defects, track defect fixes, gather and report metrics, choose when and what to re-test, collaborate with team members, monitor project progress, incorporate schedule and scope changes, shepherd the product to delivery, be responsible for quality.
- Adhere to SDLC and QA processes; participate in continuous improvement of our team and processes.
- Collaborate with development to assess and resolve production issues.
- Analyze and understand the requirements, devise a test strategy and plan that adequately covers the requirements, develop high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, elaborate scenarios into detailed test cases.
- Build and maintain a traceability matrix between requirements and tests.
- Review test artifacts with QA and development team members and edit accordingly.
- Hand on experience in ETL Testing on Abinitio
- Knowledge about Abinitio based testing tools - Express IT (TFW/TDM)
- Experience in working with Scheduling tools (Autosys/Control-M/CA-7/Control Center)
- Knowledge on Agile tools -Rally/Jira.
- Knowledge on CI/CD methodologies and Jenkins
- Experience in testing on AWS or Azure Cloud platforms
- Must have advanced level SQL (DBA level) and data analysis skills, stored proc, PL SQL
- Understanding of database design and implementation.
- Understanding of data analysis, data modeling, database design, data migration and business intelligence solutions
- Good knowledge on scheduling tool like Autosys
- Work with Minimal supervision.
- Works closely with Scrum team to clarify requirements, ensure testability and to provide feedback on design (functional and technical).
- Mentor junior Team members and Conduct peer reviews for the work done by them when required.
- Create Test strategy, Test scenarios/Test cases, Test data and Traceability Matrix and consult with senior peers for reviewing same.
- Create automation Strategies, Reusable Scripts and Utilities- Help the team in meeting the automation goals.
- Initiate, Innovate and Ideate best practices in Quality Assurance and ensure the products meet high standards of quality, reliability, usability.
- Prioritize, Plan and Co-ordinate in quality testing activities.
- Responsible for logging defects, making recommendations to address defects and ensuring quality of the work of the scrum team.
- Review test results with stakeholders.
- Make necessary recommendations for improvements in regression automation and contributed for the same.
