Job Description

The

Resource Coordinator - MSK Rad reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with MSK Practice Manager and MSK Operations Coordinator to develop/update/facilitate staff understanding of and compliance with clinical protocols, standards, competencies, and policies.
  • Serve as point person for changes to the patient schedule based on staffing, overbooking, etc.
  • Ensuring appropriate supply orders are being placed.
  • Works closely with MSK Operations Coordinator to coordinate the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair activities for all equipment and systems in the MSK Clinic.
  • Plan and organize staff assignments to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Bring resolution to staffing / resource issues.
  • Provide general department orientation to new staff and coordinate appropriate orientation and training of new technical staff.
  • Support research initiatives in the diagnostic setting, including compliance with protocols and research standards.
  • Participate in evaluation / assessment of new technology and coordinate visits from vendors.
  • Provide formal and informal feedback on staff performance (e.g., Performance Review Process, constructive feedback on the job, etc.) to Manager.
  • Encourage teamwork through positive leadership and communication.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Serves as a clinical resource to staff.
  • Provides clinical expertise and support for clinical staff to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.

Additional Functions:

  • Assist Manager and Operations Coordinator on special projects (process improvement, training, onboarding, protocol integration, new equipment, etc.).
  • Provides ideas and suggestions for process improvements within the department.
  • Provides direct patient care when needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree or, in lieu of degree, 5 years technical experience.
  • Trained and registered in one or more of the MSK disciplines (x-ray, CT, fluoro, EOS, etc.).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • CPR Certification (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Experience with personal computers: word processing and Excel programs.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in an outpatient Orthopaedic practice.
  • Previous experience in a supervisor or coaching role.
