Join us andtogether we will drive the future of health care.This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America'sleading health benefits companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.Respiratory Therapist/Sr - PS34465Location: Remote but must live within 1 hour of an Anthem, Inc. office locationHours: Normal business hoursMay be hired in at the level I/Sr role depending on experience/manager discretion.Responsible for providing guidance to condition management members to help make positive lifestyle changes to improve respiratory health and serving as a subject matter expert for resources and education.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Collaborates with other health professionals to improve the health of members.

Provides instruction to members on the use of inhalers, breathing techniques, Bipaps, and peak flow meters, as well as prevention techniques to reduce medical issues.

Coaches members to make positive health changes with specialized health education focused on Asthma and COPD population.

Incorporates respiratory therapy information as part of managed care benefits.

Researches new resources and provides education to team members.

Serves as departmental liaison to other areas or as representative on enterprise initiatives.

Serves as a resource to lower level associates and provides process and/or system guidance.

Requires an AS in Respiratory Therapy

5 years of managed care and/or clinical experience as a respiratory therapist; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Current Respiratory Care Professional license required.

NBRC credentialing required.

American Association of Respiratory Care registration required.

BA/BS preferred.
