Job SummaryThe primary purpose of the Senior Developer Applications Development is to lead a team in the development, implementation and maintenance of business and technical systems. This role is accountable for the evaluation and implementation of standards and procedures which support the enterprise's application infrastructure. The Senior Developer directs multiple teams of developers involved in the analysis, design and development of large scale applications which may include both projects and programs. Interacts directly with the client and supports team members across the IT organization. This Senior Developer keeps abreast of new technologies, incorporates those technologies when appropriate and motivates others to utilize them.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and provide recommendations for improvement of Business Processes by leveraging existing IT capabilities, identifying improvements to existing IT capabilities and define new strategic IT capabilities
  • Act as the point of contact and facilitate the work request demand and prioritization process
  • Responsible for escalating, assisting and follow-through on resolution of issues related to delivery of technology solutions
  • Application Delivery/Support
  • Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications
  • Accountable for gaining and maintaining alignment of delivery success criteria with business partners
  • Develop appropriate software documentation as outlined in IDF
  • Define, prioritize, allocate resources, track and provide status reporting of work assignments, projects, programs
  • Accountable for ensuring technology solutions comply with architectural standards
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining performance of any application issues in accordance with agreed SLA
  • Responsible for department and individual performance assessments and improvement plans
  • Demonstrate knowledge of SDLC processes, technical platform, inputs/outputs , standards and best practices
  • Demonstrate knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles.
  • Ensure IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc) and standards are established, effectively managed and performed

Education
  • BS/BA, preferably in a technical or scientific field or equivalent experience, education or training required

Required
  • Looking for talented individuals with strong development background
  • Individuals must be proficient in one or more of the following skill sets UI development in .Net focused on web applications utilizing ASP.Net, C#, design patterns like MVC or MVVM, jQuery, as well a good understanding of server configuration of IIS.
  • Programming languages: C#, SQL, LINQ
  • RDBMS: SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, Oracle 11g
  • Additional skills from the service layer perspective include WCF, bindings, Web API, SAX and DOM Parsers and general web services architectures are equally important
  • Knowledge of ORM Tool

Preferred
  • Knowledge of design patterns that promote code reuse and maintainability is preferred
  • Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in application development, multiple major project delivering of med-large scale projects/programs required
  • Experience in travel industry, especially airline related is significantly preferred
