Essential Job Functions

This position requires a motivated and energetic person with experience in instructional design, e-Learning, and project management as they relate to the development and delivery of technology training. Excellence in the delivery of classroom training is also required. This position is part of a team responsible for designing a range of solutions for training and performance support and oversees the development and implementation of learning solutions, with a focus on new application rollouts and technology upgrades. This person will provide direction relative to the methods, tools, technologies, and processes for developing blended learning solutions. This position also requires experience in needs assessment and task analysis.

A successful candidate for this position will possess leadership, time management, project management, and interpersonal skills. They must also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Knowledge of Microsoft products is essential. College degree required. Degrees in Instructional Design or related fields a plus. 3-5 years of experience in technology training and/or instructional design.

Essential Functions (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
  • Develops and curates e-learning across a wide variety of available libraries.
  • Designs a complete range of solutions for training and performance support and oversees the development and implementation of learning solutions for staff training, application rollouts, and technology upgrades.
  • Partners with internal clients to identify training solutions, create a project plan, and manage the execution of that plan through the completion of the project.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and identify training and non-training solutions to bridge performance gaps.
  • Accountable for program design strategy and implementation plan by managing the design, development, and implementation of the solution, which requires strong project management skills.
  • Develops and leads special projects to enhance collaboration between trainers in all offices.
  • Collects and communicates quality assurance issues uncovered as part of the development of training materials.
  • Influences ongoing organizational and departmental improvement.
  • Promotes the continued use of new technology, best practices, and staff development processes.
  • Delivers technology training and coaching to staff, associates, and partners as needed.

  • Listening, drawing out key concepts and articulating advanced technical and non-technical concepts with ease (both written and oral formats) to customers, peers and management at several levels and across the organization with minimal oversight.
  • Effective production support activities, including advanced business and technical writing.
  • Documenting medium to large scale projects with minimal supervision; will be involved in developing/delivering presentations.

  • Ensures that programs and projects are designed to support and implement company goals and strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

  • College degree required. Degree or Certificate in Instructional Design or related fields, or 3-5 years of experience in technology training and/or instructional design are recommended.
