Our client is the leading national provider of high-quality, relationship-based home care for seniors and people living with disabilities, and uniquely positioned as the home care company of choice.We are seeking an Azure cloud engineer who will be responsible to design, build, implement, and deliver scalable Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for designing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure environment and building automation through infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate should have good communication and collaboration skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.Contract-To-Hire (6 months- to- conversion) Responsibilities:
- Drive the migration of infrastructure services to the Azure cloud and implement Azure based Infrastructure as a service solution
- Create standards and best practices guidelines for cloud implementations including security protocols
- Leverage automation and modern deployment methodologies in a container-based environment
- Provide training and support to level 1 and 2 support technicians
- Develop architectural diagrams and support documents detailing the infrastructure
- Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure
- Updating any software and hardware where necessary
- Conduct research on environmental issues and propose technical solutions. Perform root cause analysis on severe issues and provide guidance to leadership on preventing future issues
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant technical experience
- Experience designing and supporting large scale Azure environments preferred; however AWS, Google is welcomed
- Strong understanding of enterprise level storage, compute, and networking technologies
- Highly proficient in Azure IaaS components including but not limited to Compute (VMs, Containers, Serverless, PaaS Services, Storage (Blob, File Share, Storage Accounts) and Networking (Azure Firewall, NSGs, VNETs)
- Experience with Infrastructure automation platforms such as VRA / VRO
- Familiarity with Ansible as an Infrastructure configuration tool
- Knowledge and implementation of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Performance Tuning best practices
- Experience with Windows and Linux Server Systems running in Azure IaaS environment
- Working knowledge of TCP / IP networking and routing
- Experience with Azure data layer services such as Azure SQL(IaaS and PaaS), CosmosDB, NoSQL,Queueing and Eventing, DataLake, and Machine Learning services
- Familiarity with Azure hierarchal fundamentals consisting of management groups, subscriptions, and resource groups
- Familiarity with Infrastructure monitoring practices with Azure Monitor or the like for infrastructure metrics applied at deploy time using IaC
