- The client is looking to upgrade its Claim Pricing system to achieve significantly higher performance and scalability.
- The system is Java based with the IBM ODM rules engine and a DB2 database.
- We are looking for a highly technical Solution Architect with extensive experience in performance engineering.
- This individual would work with the Application Architects and other experts to understand constraints in the system today, propose changes (including re-architecture as needed) and conduct as necessarily proofs via tests that show how the proposed changes would meet the objectives.
- Architecture Realization – Responsible for supporting project and/or product teams on functional and technical design activities to ensure alignment of detailed designs with the approved solution architecture.
- Stakeholder Management – Maintain close working relationships management and delivery teams.
- Raise risks, issues and key decision to leadership as required using structured and supporting analysis.
- Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
- Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
- Bachelors’ degree in related technical / business areas or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in application design and/or performance.
- Very strong performance engineering skills
- Strong Java and Relational DB skills
- Ability to conduct Unit Performance Tests and working with Load & Performance Teams to define and evaluate larger performance tests
- IBM ODM ( Operational Decision Manager )
- IBM DB2
