- 3+ years of experience in Splunk development (Create Dashboards, Visualizations, Statistical reports, scheduled searches, alerts and knowledge objects) with strong problem solving, logic, and analytical skills
- Python/Perl/Shell Scripting/Regex experience would be highly recommended and hands on experience on building Splunk custom Apps, Add-on, leveraging SDKs or REST API for modular inputs, data models, scripted inputs & incorporate custom commands
- Expert level knowledge and understanding of Splunk "SPL" and building complex optimized queries to build contractual dashboards, reports and glasstables
- Implement KV stores, lookups, and data model acceleration to optimize search performance and reporting, good experience on creating Splunk knowledge objects (field extractions, macros, event types)
- Knowledge on customizing advanced dashboards via advanced XML source, JavaScript, CSS, advanced HTML is must
- Prior 2+ years’ experience with Splunk premium apps- Splunk IT Service Intelligence is must
- Capable to conduct a service decomposition for Splunk ITSI via creating or automatic CMDB upload of services and entities in ITSI
- Experienced in creating custom KPIs Based Search in Splunk ITSI and fine-tune prebuilt Splunk ITSI KPIs, KPIs Based Search, ad hoc KPIs and their dependencies in ITSI
- Experienced in creating Deep-Dives, glass table and worked on adaptive thresholding’s
- Expert-level capabilities with regular expression and statistical functions
- Must be Splunk Core Certified Power User and good to have IT Service Intelligence Certification
