This team is looking for a candidate with a strong background in SQL development, as well as database administration experience. We will consider Junior DBA’s who are experienced with SQL and good at performance turning.
Day to Day Highlights: • This team focuses on report writing and generation; there is currently an initiative to get more reports over to Snowflake. Team Structure: • This individual will be joining a team of 3 other Database Administrators and would report directly to the team’s IT Portfolio Manager who oversees all day to day activities. Candidate Profile: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or related experience• A minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL • Expert with SQL Server performance management and tuning, including identifying solutions that optimize SQL execution plans• SQL Server Administration experience including:o Triggerso Stored Procedure Code Development and Standardizationo Data Integration and Migrationo Management Studioo SQL XMLo Database Auditing and Controls• Strong knowledge of Windows OS • Strong knowledge of physical and VMWare SQL configuration from an infrastructure perspective• Strong understanding of security implementation• Proven troubleshooting abilities• Strong planning and analysis skills• Strong documentation skillsCandidate Selling Points:• This individual will have the opportunity to get more familiar with reporting services in the cloud (Snowflake) • We are one of the top law firms in the world, with access to technical resources and tools needed to do your job well. • Our firm is diverse and stable, can weather most economic storms. 150+ years in business. • Our IT department is team-oriented and does not use a lot of outsourced resources. Standard Schedule: • M-F, 9-5• Will provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis• Must be flexible to work off-hours, as required Interview Structure:• Predictive Index Survey • Interview Round 1 (Technical topics with coordinated interview problem sets/focus areas): 30 minute virtual meetings with 2 Database Administrators, Database Architect, and IT Portfolio Manager • Interview Round 2 (Culture fit and leveling): 30 minute meetings with Business IT Solutions Director, Sr IT Portfolio Manager, Project Manager, Sr Hosting Services ManagerVacancy expired!
