Job Description

Opportunity to work on a brand with multiple sub-brands under it across a large internal and external team.

While this position is remote the person will need to sit in Chicago or Atlanta. Chicago is our preferred location

This account is performance media heavy with a focus on Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic. The Account Supervisor will lead our internal teams and build client relationships across all media disciplines, managing a cross-functional team to producing exceptional work. This person will develop a healthy, trustworthy team and client bonds while assuming responsibility for most day-to-day client contact and cross-functional team operations. Must have performance media background to effectively lead client and team and experience with local/DMA media strategies is a plus.

Will work closely with Group Account Director to oversee and be eyes/ears on the ground in the day-to-day management of the business.

Qualifications

  • Ability to review Media recommendations and make client friendly (get ahead of what they will ask, what’s missing that needs to be added, reframing) across all deliverables, reporting and communication.
  • Must understand how to speak to and review data/insights and ability to see opportunities for improvements whether that’s adjusting wording to make client friendly, identify that optimization opportunities are needed etc.
  • Enhances good client relationship(s) demonstrating trusted partnership, knowing the client’s business deeply and providing sound recommendations in collaboration with the internal, cross-functional team
  • Finds appropriate merchandising moments (internal work, thought leadership, driving innovation, relevant industry updates that should be shared) and proactively identifies areas of opportunity to grow account, improve client relationship and drive revenue.
  • Acts as gate-keeper in identifying red flags and recommending proactive solutions to mitigate risk. Must be able to level up to Group Directors and know when to loop in for support.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements on the account and action on them from start to finish.
  • Must be able to work well with different personalities and be able adapt communication
  • Contributes to and/or may develop scopes of work, quarterly business reviews or Account Reviews.
  • Oversees cross-department involvement and knows when to leverage necessary resources.
  • Leads majority of client communications, sets expectations, and manages quality of deliverables to deadline.
  • Develops & presents recommendations & POVs that drive innovation for the business.
  • Oversees client budget management, the billing process and contributes to forecasting.
  • Contributes to content for new business presentations and participates in client-facing business growth discussions
  • Assists team leads in all facets necessary.
  • May manage up to 1 direct report

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Digital experience preferred (performance media paid search, paid social, programmatic)

  • Motivates cross-functional teamwork towards elevating the bar and delivering business-based marketing with flawless execution and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Experience working on performance media accounts and understanding of the space and processes in order to facilitate team direction and management to on-time, flawless deliverables
  • This role will coordinate and collaborate with multiple media disciplines from SEM, Social, Display, Programmatic, Analytics, Media Technology. Ability to learn and balance multiple and differing disciplines & teams and understand data & results is key
  • Responsible for helping to get projects completed from start to finish, push to get the best work out of the team and willing to provide direction and get into the weeds to get deliverables across the finish line.
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Demonstrates Level 4 presentation skills.
  • Persuasive story-teller who can work with/present to any client.
  • Follows the tenants of Trusted Advisor to the clients.
  • Exhibits in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and media expertise.
  • Acts judiciously when making decisions for the client, the team & direct reports.
  • Leads by example.
  • Establishes the tone & culture of the team.
  • Anticipates & proactively addresses challenges/issues
  • Conducts themselves with character & integrity.
