Key responsibilities include: Provide subject matter expertise in process design, tool development or methodology validation ; Design and roll out analytical and technical tools for validations of new models/methodology; Provides guidance and mentoring to junior analysts as needed; Be a solution provider who can leverage the knowledge and experience to deliver a high quality end product; and Understands financial products across all asset classes and has extensive knowledge of technical implementations. Posses advanced degree in physic, applied mathematics, statistics/probability or another heavy quantitative discipline.

LOB Description:

The main function of the Collateral Optimization group within Global Quantitative Service team is to support bank's long term management of Collateral Management and Liquidity.

This role will lead multiple projects that are significant in scope and impact and will serve as a subject matter expert and use that expertise to influence the optimal design and delivery of projects. The ideal candidate is expected to lead by influence and drive strategic adoption and have extensive professional and functional knowledge developed through financial industry experience. We are looking for a solution provider with extensive knowledge of technical implementations who can leverage their knowledge and experience to deliver a high quality end product and understands financial products across all asset classes.

Responsibilities:

•Develop Java/Python applications for data transformation, processing, storage, and delivery

•Provide support for infrastructure design and development for effective collateral management, including strategy on data sourcing, data transformation and visualization

•Handle ad-hoc requests from Collateral Management FO on data query, PNL & Risk reporting

•Engage in the development, maintenance and enhancement of the Collateral Optimization Data (CODA)

•Provide overall support for the build out of Margin Management Dashboard for daily monitoring to assess bank's overall margin and liquidity

•Support derivative forecast for predicting bank's upcoming margin call. The Collateral Unit interacts with a variety of different groups within the bank: Front Office from Corporate Treasury, CPM, GBA; Finance/Operations for OTC, CCP, Repo, LFO; QSG/Quants; Technology partners from Corporate Treasury, CPM; Collateral Ops

•Provide subject matter expertise in process design, tool development or methodology validation;

•Design and roll out analytical and technical tools for validations of new models/methodology;

•Provide guidance and mentoring to junior analysts when needed

Qualifications:

•Masters degree in financial mathematics, engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, finance oreconomics

•5 years of industry experience

•Attention to detail, collaboration with teammates

•The ability to respond quickly to different business requests and self-learning capability is key to the success of this position

•Knowledge or experience with fixed income and credit derivatives products

•Strong technical skills including Python, SQL, or other programming languages

•Knowledge of fixed income securities including repo and collateral management is a plus

•Understanding of relational databases and/or process flows

•Strong communication skills
