Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

This VP, Amazon Analytics role will provide strategic insights and thought leadership to support portfolio analytics needs and drive profitable new account and purchase volume growth as well as help drive better customer experience through effective lifecycle campaign measurement for Amazon portfolio. This role will lead partnership cross functionally to deliver actionable changes in acquisition strategy, lifecycle analytics, portfolio analytics, segmentation, and forecasting. The individual will develop decision management framework to support customer engagement (CX) and portfolio management. They will also work closely with the internal and client teams in marketing, client development, and credit to promote sustainable growth of the portfolio. This is role requires hands-on use of analytical and data-mining tools, and effective presentation skills to influence the client and internal decision makers.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own the full cycle of analytical deliverables - ideation, data mining and analysis, identification of insights, and delivery of information and recommendations to stakeholders

  • Lead reviews of the portfolio performance, segmentation, and product features to inform portfolio decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in product, marketing, credit, and IT/operations to strength the product experience while delivering portfolio growth goals

  • Partner with broader Marketing organization to execute integrated marketing campaigns leveraging personalization and segmentation

  • Act as a leader to junior analysts and trusted advisor to leadership to solve complex business problems and provide actionable guidance using sound business judgement and data driven insights

  • Lead development of management dashboards to measure and diagnose portfolio performance that allow stakeholders to understand trajectory of KPIs to enable better forecasting and management of the portfolio.

  • Develop business case presentations and action plans to drive marketing strategy; including targeting recommendations, test design, channel optimization, product opportunities and cost/benefit analysis to review with client and SYF marketing teams

  • Produce campaign analytics to track results of strategies deployed. Create "test" and "learn" culture through ongoing assessment of product and targeting strategies

  • Lead and prioritize workload of U.S. based and offshore analysts to ensure high-quality execution and delivery of marketing analytics and reporting. Provide mentoring and feedbacks to offer shore team

  • Act as a strategy and analytic consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance and leadership for the design, analysis and measurement phases of the project.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or 9+ years of work experience establishing and managing marketing analytics in the financial services, credit card and/or payments industry.

  • A minimum of 7+ years of work experience to include:

    • 3+ years'analyticsexperience within the financial services, credit cardor payment industry, retail finance industryOR consumer marketing analytics experience

    • 3+ years using statistical analysis tools and data warehouse tools, such as SAS, SQL, R, Python

    • 3+ years leading large-scale analytics projects

    • 1+ years of client facing experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Database Marketing or Quantitative Analysis preferred

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field or MBA with Systems and Marketing specialization strongly preferred

  • Experience with credit card products preferred

  • Hands-on experience utilizing analytical tools such as SAS, SQL; experience in development of dashboards and data visualization within Tableau or Birst

  • Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, retail analytic tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred

  • Experience using external data sources to drive growth for clients

  • Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals

  • Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 2000,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
