OCTAVIO CANTINA & KITCHEN is currently looking for LINE COOKS (Cocinero de linea) to join our team. This is a general kitchen position that is responsible for assembly and plating of customer orders. Prior kitchen or cooking experience is helpful but not required. Ocatvio is a neighborhood kind of place that cooks up modern Mexican good enough to make it a true destination. Summary of Position
Hours will range from 35-45/wk based on performance and dependability
Must be available to be scheduled for shifts between the hours of 4 pm-11pm every day and/or 8 am 3 pm Saturday and Sunday. Weekend availability is mandatory.
Responsible for food assembly functions including;
Preparing customer orders
Plating orders for dining room or delivery
Ensuring food quality is up to standard
Sanitation practices and cleanliness of kitchen
Timely and accurate assembly of customer orders
Other misc. tasks as assigned by the KM
Qualifications
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus (Bilingüe en inglés y español es mejor.)
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Must be dependable
