LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Must have excellent MS Office skills – Specifically MS Word (style documents, table of

eDockets or similar docketing software is a MUST

Candidates MUST be an eDockets (or similar) Champion and able to influence the importance of such to attorneys

Candidates MUST have experience with court systems, filing, eFiling and PACER

This position will be the one setting policies, giving presentations to attorneys

VAST experience is REQUIRED The Litigation Docketing Manager is responsible for the accurate review, processing ‎and tracking of all critical dates for all litigation related documents received, Firm-wide. The Manager shall oversee a team of docketing analysts who regularly receive orders and update the Firm’s Litigation Docketing system. The Manager will ensure that all dates are accurately applied and set a course of standard procedures for all litigation docketing analysts to follow. This is a working Manager position and the Manager will be responsible for all operations and team members within the Litigation Docketing Department, including performing docketing tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:• Responsible for the management of the accurate review, processing and docketing all Litigation documents received from court orders, as well as arbitration review panels, as well as maintenance of Litigation records and related docket entries in eDockets.• Oversee the Litigation Docketing department and verify that all procedures are followed.• Make sure that all incoming mail, email, and orders are distributed promptly and properly calendared.• Oversee and promote the existence of Firm-wide docketing software, improving attorney acceptance and engagement with the docketing department.• Providing multi-office presentations on the importance of docketing software on an as-needed basis.• Responsible for employee engagement and improvement of the docketing process and ownership of the department and successful growth of the department.• Responsible for managing the entry and tracking of critical dates with respect to litigation while discerning the appropriate information to enter into the docket in a timely and accurate manner; interpreting official documents and correspondence to gather necessary information for entry into the docketing tracking systems.• Processing and interpretation of incoming correspondence from secretaries, attorneys, clients and courts for entering into the Litigation docketing databases.• Preparation of timely and accurate reports, searching for and retrieving filing information from websites if/when needed to maintain the integrity of the docketing databases.• Promptly emailing relevant communications internally while also saving documents to DeskSite.• Regularly perform significant and recurring tasks with a high degree of priority, attention to detail and maintain follow-up on diverse activities – all in a timely, deadline-driven environment. Exercise good judgment in application of policies and practices in handling all matters handled by Litigation Docketing.• Perform court run duties as assigned.• Perform monthly audits of Litigation Docketing Credit Cards and ensure all receipts entered are current and correct.• Effectively manage personnel including providing performance evaluations, coaching, and ensure all team members meet performance objectives and comply with Firm policies.• Perform additional tasks, duties and projects as assigned.

Education & Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree required.• Past experience including docket management and supervising skills.• Prior experience in eDockets or other similar docketing software a must.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.• Ability to read and comprehend complex materials involving legal and technical matters.• Prior experience and knowledge of litigation areas of legal practice.• Ability to accurately and thoroughly document and file information.• Must exhibit strong understanding and application of technology.• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.• Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.• Familiarity with MS Office suite.• Excellent communication skills.• Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.• Ability to work independently and as a team member. #theAMSway#amsstaffing
