Well established flower shop is seeking a full time associate. This position requires a motivated and flexible candidate to handle multiple aspects of running the shop.
Job requirements:
-Able to lift 40 pounds
-At least 2 years of floral design experience is required
-Outgoing and friendly personality
-5 day work week - some weekend hours likely.
-Able to work additional days and longer hours around floral holidays (Valentine's day, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc)
Your responsibilities would include:
-Overall store operations
-Managing employee scheduling
-New employee selection and training
-New customer outreach / sales
-Marketing activities coordinating with company Marketing Director
-Handling customer inquiries / orders over the phone
-Being a knowledgeable and effective salesperson
-Assisting customers with in store purchases / orders
-Design of flowers / plants following customer specifications
-Managing and processing cut flowers and plants for your orders and displays
-Effective display merchandising
-Managing inventory levels, selecting and ordering product in coordination with company buyers
-Store organization, cleaning and daily display
-Other duties as required to provide excellent customer service and maintain the retail store.
