Work you'll do
  • Support clients with data protection, IoT, and overarching cloud capabilities.
  • Implement core and cloud infrastructure security to manage risks and exposure.
  • Perform cyber reconnaissance to illuminate a potential attack surface area.
  • Provide threat and vulnerability management to federal clients and teams.
  • Analyze tactical network architectures and topologies to assess security risks.
  • Advise the Enterprise Services ISSO on security-related matters
  • Provide strategic direction for how system and infrastructure security is handled at Enterprise Services
  • Maintain and update infrastructure and system documentation
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose software, hardware, network, and infrastructure issues
  • Conduct integration testing of new network hardware, network design and software to support network infrastructure evolution
  • Plan and implement security measures related to data, software, hardware
  • Monitor network and infrastructure performance
  • Detect and identify system issues and recommend/initiate subsequent changes

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • Ability to travel, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, CISCO Network Management Products
  • Ability to provide advice on security, risk assessments, and network assessment best practices
  • Experience advising ISSOs and other executives a plus
  • Experience with the authority to operate (ATO) process, FEDRAMP, NIST 800-53, and security policy in general. Specific Department of Commerce experience is a plus
  • Experience drafting and revising security-related documentation, identifying and applying broader policy and security implications
  • Experience with continuous monitoring and tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Tenable Nessus
  • Experience with process related continuous monitoring activities
  • Experience reviewing security documentation that others have produced (such as vendors), and advising when there may be risks or issues
  • Five or more years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at an executive level, excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred:
  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Previous Security Operations Center experience
  • Experience in mobile and endpoint security
  • Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
