Job Poster: Saketh Ram Sharma Title: Application DeveloperLocation: Chicago, IL (REMOTE)Duration: 3 + Months Contract This person will work on personalization project and develop 30 micro-services using Fuse Top Skills: -Fuse -OSB background -Java program -Spring boot framework -Apache camel About the Role The Senior Developer – API Services plays a key technical leadership role on critical software projects. Your primary responsibility is to design and develop API & web services running on PaaS container platform such as OpenShift and on integration platform such as Fuse. The Senior Developer – API Services collaborates with business partners and strategic vendors to deliver cost effective, timely and customer-focused solutions, and provides technical leadership of web services software development from design and development through to implementation and support. Essential Duties And Key Responsibilities l Design and develop API & services solutions including SOAP and RESTful based web services using Microservices & Miniservices architecture, OpenShift, Fuse, ESB, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Java, Git, GitHub, MongoDB, Oracle database and other key technologies.l Coach and mentor junior team members to facilitate their professional development.l Collaborate with end users and project team members on development of requirements and design of applications.l Works with the Principal Developer(s) to develop time estimates for project deliverables.l Ensure all software delivered aligns with team’s standards and best practices.l Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new ideas or tools.l Identify and communicate potential risks, issues and roadblocks to various stakeholders in a timely manner. Advise Principal Developer(s) and manager of these as appropriate, to include providing options to remediate such items.l Perform and participate in peer design and code reviews and verify traceability back to the technical requirements.l Stay abreast of new technologies, current issues, trends and tools affecting application development within the API & web services space. Experience And Educational Requirements l Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience required.l Minimum 5 years of development experience, working in a Unix environment, developing software using web services technologies (including Microservices & Miniservices architecture, RedHat OpenShift, RedHat Fuse, Camel, Apache Kafka, ESB, NodeJS, Docker, Kubernetes, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, Git, GitHub, MongoDB) and the Oracle database.l 5+ years of experience working within an SDLC, designing, developing & testing various software applications.l Experience with Microservices design patterns and developmentl Experience with domain driven design and behavior driven developmentl Experience with JIRA and Agile development practicesl Experience with API Gateway and Management platform such as 3scale is plusl Experience partnering with Development, QA, and other internal teams to review, inspect, document, and ensure the quality of software products being tested and eventually implemented.l Experience in several aspects of IT Service Management, including Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management. Experience using tools supporting these efforts, including BMC Remedy.l Experience in developing and testing software, including supporting the QA team and helping to troubleshoot defects in order to arrive at the root cause (Root Cause Analysis). Experience using tools supporting these efforts, including SQL, SoapUI, and HP Quality Center.l In-depth knowledge of standard web technologies, including app servers, web servers, databases, browsers, etc.l Knowledge of Microservices, Miniservices, OpenShift, Fuse, ESB, Docker, Kubernetes, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, Git, GitHub, MongoDB, Oracle database, web services, and web applications.l Stay abreast with all current technologies used within the web services space and provide technical leadership to peers and junior team members.l Ability to work on parallel product releases, with multiple QA and development teams.l Strong organizational skills including good time management, prioritizing tasks, estimating activities, and meeting deadlines. Must effectively prioritize own work, and the work of their team.l Strong verbal and written communication skills.l Self-motivated, able to work independently, and with a strong desire to learn and share information with others.l Able to provide technical leadership to other team members to facilitate in their technical delivery.l Effective at building good working relationships with business partners and project team members in a matrix organization.l Strong attention to detail, analysis and problem-solving skills.l Experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred.
