More About the Role As a Software Engineer in Restaurant Supply & Onboarding, you will be building, maintaining and scaling software systems for getting restaurants online on Grubhub platform. You will be working with software engineers, product managers and technology leaders to take restaurants onboarding experience to the next level. The Impact You Will Make- Understand the domain needs and develop highly-available, fault-tolerant features for our software systems.
- Be accountable for delivery, deployment, maintenance, monitoring the performance of the application and the platform.
- Write code with defined standards, review the code of peers, use security standards in the code and be able to measure the performance of the features.
- Collaborate with leadership, product owners, and technologists to deliver features that increase the offerings & efficiency of our systems.
- Be a proponent for improving our platform, processes, and tools.
- 2+ years experience building highly-scalable interactive web applications (e-commerce preferred)
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript
- Familiarity of CSS Precompilers
- Experience with one of the 3 major web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
- Strong familiarity of server-side web technologies such as Nodejs, Java, Python, etc.
- Experience writing object-oriented code, especially in JavaScript. Familiarity with Typescript is a plus!
- Experience building and deploying cloud based serverless solutions. AWS Lambda a plus!
- Experience working in a test-driven development
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
- Experience working with open source technologies is required and contribution to open source systems is a plus
- You will work with your team to monitor and ensure the health of the platform, which includes a 24/7 on-call rotation, to ensure a great customer experience.
