The Lead IT ICM Engineer will be responsible for providing strategic mentorship and support for UScellular's Varicent Incentive Compensation Management platform. This role will partner closely with the IT Incentive Compensation Management team to support new enhancements, improvements, and refactoring. The Varicent Solution IT Lead ICM Engineer will support the IT Incentive Compensation Management developers, Scrum Master, and Product Owner in delivering high-quality solutions vital to support our associates.

Location Note: This role can be performed out of any of our UScellular business office locations throughout our operating footprint.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for conducting sophisticated and detailed research of existing processes, systems, systems logic, hardware deployment, and desired objectives to develop detailed systems specifications to meet the objectives of the assigned projects.
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues impacting business rules, functional requirements, and specifications
  • Provide critical thinking with a good attention to detail.
  • Lead roadmap strategy sessions with business partners, focusing on solution, model, and data impacts.
  • Develop and present solutions that complement the Varicent platform while also meeting or exceeding business needs.
  • Design quality, well-engineered solutions that enable maintainability and drive understanding across the team.
  • Refactor and optimize queries utilized within the platform.
  • Lead meetings related to: requirements and design sessions, test cases, test execution, deployment, and warranty support.
  • Drive adoption of overall patterns vital to support future development within the platform.
  • Identify potential solution and internal process improvements.
  • Guide and assist in the planning and execution of statements of work and purchase orders.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field of equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional work experience; preferably working on an incentive compensation platform.
  • 5+ years' experience leading products, teams, and/or projects.
  • 5+ years' experience supporting or developing software applications.
  • Deep understanding of the Varicent incentive compensation management platform.
  • Strong business and IT technology experience.
  • Experience working in all phases of the IT delivery cycle.
  • Strong presence to participate in business partner and vendor discussions.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Strong SQL skills, preferably utilizing MySQL.
  • Ability to break down sophisticated processes into simple concepts and speak both technically and with an eye for business.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Scrum software development.
