A top Chicago trading firm at the intersection of trading and technology is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer, with Data ETL experience.
In this high visibility role, thee individual will be doing hands-on engineering as well as working with data used directly by traders and quants. Requirements:- CS or related degree, Masters preferred
- 4+ years of object oriented programming in Python or Java
- Experience with Linux
- Experience working with ETL workflows/pipelines
- Experience working with data management
- Nice to have: In industry / financial experience
- Attention to quality assurance
- Working with technologists tasked with building a proprietary options trading platform
- Working with many internal clients/management
- Maintaining processes and daily jobs with high uptime requirements
- Working with 100s of gigabytes a day (high data flow), ranging from daily data coming in to a constant flow of tick data
- Role can grow to have a research element for the right person if interested
