Hybrid schedule with remote and onsite work.Will be responsible for the development of software for use in ophthalmic products. JOB SUMMARY:The Senior Software Engineer works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate in software requirements analysis in a team environment. Responsible for creating specific requirements documentation. Participates in software requirements reviews.
  • Participate in software high-level design in a team environment. Responsible for detailed design of software modules, and creation of detailed design documentation.
  • Responsible for implementation, unit testing, and integration of testing of software modules. Uses version control software. Participates in code reviews, and documents testing activities.
  • Support SQA and possibly other departments during software verification and validation.
  • Work must be performed according to company standards. In particular, the Software Development Standard Operating Procedure (SDSOP) must be followed.
REQUIREMENTS:• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.• Five (5) years’ related experience.• Experiencing developing object oriented software in C#.NET• Experience with Linux or Windows• Ability to author good engineering documentation.• Experience with an automated testing framework.• Strong debugging & problem solving skills.• Strong verbal & written communication skills.• Self-starter able to work with minimal direction.
