Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Electrician to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on residential work sites. Under the guidance of a Journeyman Electrician, you will gain hands-on experience and work towards building a successful career in the electrical trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with gathering tools and supplies needed for electrical work.
Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit as directed.
Trace out short circuits and assist in troubleshooting electrical systems.
Help lift, position, and secure materials like wiring, conduit, and motors.
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and supplies on-site.
Clean work areas and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Support the team by securing and organizing materials and equipment.
Assist with the installation, connection, and termination of electrical components under close supervision.
Operate hand tools and equipment safely under the direction of senior electricians.
Mount and strap conduit as needed.
Ensure a safe work environment by disposing of excess materials and scrap.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
General interest in electrical work and desire to learn the trade.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to multitask and stay organized on job sites.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and customer service skills.
Previous experience in a trade, lighting, or electrical work is a plus
