  • 7+ years of professional experience in an application release engineering preferably with Open source technologies in an enterprise environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a lead/ supervisor capacity in similar role
  • Excellent understanding of multi-tier architecture: Web servers (Apache, IIS), Application servers (Weblogic/ Web Sphere/ Wild fly etc), Load balancers, API gateways etc.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef etc and version control systems like SVN, CVS, GIT, Teamsite etc.
  • Strong hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker & Kubernetes etc.
  • Good Knowledge of SQL, SOAP, Web Services, PKI/SSL management etc.
  • Experience using monitoring tool such as Splunk, Nagios, App Dynamics, Grafana, Google Analytics etc.
  • Experience Supporting DotNet based applications and deployments using SCCM.
  • Strong experience working in both Windows and Open source environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, build positive business relationships, and influence collaboratively across the business; and be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced, forward-moving environment.
  • Good Awareness of ITIL Processes like incident, problem, change and configuration management

  • Good knowledge of deploying and managing applications on a public cloud service (preferably AWS,

Impact You'll Make:
  • Perform software build and deployment activities in highly available customer facing production and POC environments
  • Perform pre- and post release validations activities to ensure production stability and successful change rollout
  • Leadership responsibilities of onsite organization as it relates to technical mentorship and coordination
  • Administer application management and deployment tools
  • Support production environment and act as next level escalation support to Application Operations group
  • Perform detailed root cause investigation for all production incidents and implement solutions to help avoid re-occurrence
  • Perform proactive maintenance activities that help maintain reliability and stability of production environment.
  • Adheres to the established processes/ methodologies and practices while carrying out their responsibilities. This may include maintaining run-books and technical documentation of the individual applications.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to optimize the release and support process
  • Participate in the on-call rotation process
