Seeking experienced Slitting Operators and Press Operators – Chicago Heights, ILManufacturing company is seeking Slitting Operators and Press Operators to run and work on machines that manufacture chemically complex multi-layer transferable coatings laminates and sophisticated holographic technologies. Slitter Operators: $15 - $19 - Monday-Friday: 2nd Shift – 3pm-11:30am

Press Operators: $18 - $21.50 - Mon-Fri: 2nd Shift – 3pm-11:30am and Sun-Fri: 3rd shift – 11pm-7:30am

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for operation of the slitting process or Press Operator process. This facility makes film used for identification badges and for the credit card industry.JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE HEAVY MACHINE OPERATOR EXPERIENCE

Slitting or Press operator experience required in Films preferred.

HS DIPLOMA/GED required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals

Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications

Cut the cores according to length specifications.

Cut-off waste material, trim and finish/package laminate rolls in accordance with machine cycle and quality specifications.

Operate hoist and/or fork truck to load and unload rolls; Conduct hoist inspections each shift to ensure safe operation

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate mean, median, and mode, and apply SPC to the quality processes

Must have Films experience as an operator or quality control experience.

Ability to learn basic machine maintenance and setup such as lock-out/tag-out, change outs, corrections, size changing, troubleshooting, replace parts, PMs and complete all required documentation.

Must be able to lift 50lbs
