Job Description
This is an entry level CDM position. Overview:- Make a difference in the lived of others.
You have the ability to impact our patient’s lives on a daily basis by influencing the nourishment we provide them. This is an important role that we take seriously. Providing a home like environment includes the provision of tasty, nutritional and appealing food. It can impact their recovery and their daily state of mind.
Qualifications
Requirements:- This is an entry level CDM position.
- Prior experience as a Director is not necessary, but you must hold the Certified Dietary Manager credentials
- ServSafe Certifications
- Direct management and supervision of food services managers and dietary staff
- Understands nutritional requirements for entire population and menu options available
- Reviews and approves Menus (regular and therapeutic) and substitutions per policy
- Completes nutritional assessments on residents within required timeframes and updates as necessary
- Attends Care Plan meetings per policy (as needed)
- Monitors weight gains/losses and determines interventions for those at nutritional risk (as needed)
- Makes recommendations on patient’s nutritional needs to nursing management and physicians
- Audits meal services to assure compliance with systems, policies and procedures
- In-services staff as indicated (Cooks and all staff as needed)
- Ensures Proper storage and handling of food in center
- Temperature logs are maintained for all equipment
- Personal hygiene practices in place
- Food safety and correct temperatures are maintained
- Other duties as assigned
