Entry Level Accountant

DescriptionRobert Half Finance & Accounting is searching for an Entry Level Accountant for a client in the south suburbs. The Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting. The Accountant will be responsible for various accounting, analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, other reconciliation activities and other duties as assigned.Essential Functions of the Accountant position: Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing data and account information. Complete month-end close duties including journal entries. Maintains and balances general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies. Revenue and expense variance reporting, analysis and explanation. Balance Sheet including Accounts Receivable reconciliations and reporting Assist with annual and quarterly forecasts and budgets as needed Assist with periodic and year-end audit requests. Other duties deemed necessary by managementSuccessful Accountant will have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA designation or candidate preferred. 0 to 3 years Accounting experience required. Intermediate software skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word including V,H Lookups, Pivot Tables, If Then Statements, Concatenate and Graphic capabilities. Good organizational skills with attention to detail Must be able to work well with others both within and without our department.
