DescriptionIf you're a skilled Financial Analyst, Accountemps has a job for you. If you're looking for work where you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans, this is a good fit for you. You will be expected to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term temporary employment opportunity, is based in the Deerfield, Illinois, area.What you get to do every day
Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities
Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting
Compose and oversee forecasting reports
Flexible individual that feels comfortable operating under high expectations while dealing with a large amount of information- Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
Requirements
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Proficiency in cash forecasting
Annual Forecasts experience
Cash Flow Forecasts experience required
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Background in financial analysis and planning
