This is a critical leadership role in Engineering, responsible for execution of Engineering deliverables for reactors, rotating and static equipment, heat transfer equipment, piping and metallurgy, as well as specialty equipment. The Director of Technology and Equipment Solutions Team will lead engineering professionals providing expertise to support innovation, digitization, schedule A production, post schedule A services, detail engineering equipment, technical requisitions, manage suppliers, and advancing the state of UOP process technologies. The Director of Technology and Equipment Solutions Team is part of UPT Engineering Leadership Team and reports to Sr. Director of Engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead a high performing engineering organization that executes engineering projects and creates and delivers innovative technology and equipment solutions
Establish engineering team standards of performance, monitor performance, and provide feedback to maintain highly efficient and motivated workforce
Manage census, staff utilization and forecast demand
Optimize MOS to drive organizational goals and deliver on our commitments (highest quality, on-time, on-cost execution of projects)
Partner with the business leaders to define and execute growth opportunities for UPT
Use critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions
Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.
Partner with leadership of technical and functional teams external to the organization to ensure sufficient support and engagement
Manage executive stakeholder communication and progress reporting
YOU MUST HAVEBachelors Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Civil, Chemical
Minimum 15 years of industrial experience
Minimum 2 years of people management experience

Experience in executing Equipment projects

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to foster a problem-solving culture to ensure that appropriate corrective and preventative actions are put in place
Strong people (Engineering team) management and development skills, experience improving team performance through coaching
Market focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in customer's needs
Proven track record of setting targets, executing a plan, and delivering results
Ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization, and with other Honeywell businesses and partners with confidence, professionalism, and diplomacy
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, and creates processes with customer viewpoint.
Ability to quickly identify efforts that are not contributing to value-added activities or objectives, and guide team members to pivot
Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans
Familiarity with UOP Engineering deliverables and Refining, Petrochemicals or Gas technologies
Strong Leadership skills
