Position: Material Coordinator Worksite Address: 3015 5th Avenue, East Moline, IL 61244 Expected Duration: 4 Month Contract Shift hours are fairly flexible but typically: 1st Shift - 6am-2:30pm 2nd Shift - 2:30pm-11pm 3rd Shift - 10pm-6:30am

Position Description: Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanbans in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product. Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Ensures material logistics follow Deere Production Systems principles. Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically an initial position in the organization. Duties: Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability. In providing support to our warehouse operations, job duties include but are not limited to; inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving, hot part requests, repack operations, and auditing. Shift positions consist of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with flex hour options available depending on the position. Training will be provided on 1st Shift and then the candidate will move to the requested shift. Steel-toed shoes are required, along with eye protection and high visibility vests which will be provided. T he ability to lift 36 pounds regularly and transition from task to task is ideal. Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
