RIGHT NOW.Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois (US-IL) - East Moline Function: Information TechnologyTitle: Senior Software Engineer - 63730 Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build and deliver software for the products and components that make up the Channel IT Service Operations system product suite and be responsible for the technical implementation of the external integration points of certain systems within the product suite. In addition, you will:

Operate within an Agile team and participate in all aspects of that team's work regarding software analysis, development and testing

Lead aspects of a team's technical practices such as selecting design solutions and leveraging industry standards for development practices within the team

Work regularly with management to improve the product development process and provide technical expertise to business leaders

Collaborate with Architecture, Service Operations, Analytics and other Channel teams on strategic insights, product direction, scalability and integrations

Collaborate with other John Deere groups on the integrations of the Solution and those corresponding systems

Work alongside other team members in the development of a DevSecOps culture in the Service Operations space

Practices include but not limited to TDD, Automated Testing, XP, CI/CD, Monitoring

Guide/mentor junior members of the team and review their work

Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

8 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development with Sprint and Restful APIs leveraging change management

7 or more years of proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

7 or more years of deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

4 or more years of experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure

8 or more years of understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

4 or more years of working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures

Experience working with Micro services/NodeJS

Knowledge of Enterprise Data Lake and Databricks

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

Proven experience as a work lead providing technical coaching and mentoring to others

Proven strong leadership skill and experience, influence effectively, ability to resolve impediments in a timely manner

Learning Agility / Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application

Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution

Education (or equivalent work experience)Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
