Incumbent manages and contributes to the development andadministration of human resources policies and procedures and is activelyinvolved in the joint strategic leadership of departmental and division issues.Provides direction and guidance to the Department levelmanagers and their teams on HR policies and procedures, ensuringconsistency. Actively participate as a functional manager on businessteams ensuring human resources is an integral part of the businessstrategy. Keeps employees, managers, and department heads advised onchanges. Plays an integral part in the Employee Insights survey actionplanning through integrating cultural values in the day-to-day businessactivities.Provides strategic HR direction considering impact upon thecompany (financial), employee engagement, and consideration for the future (newpractices, policies, and procedures). Researches, benchmarks, creates strategicinitiatives, and design implementation strategy to improve business unitresults at all locations. Formulates and/or implements policies,practices and procedures related to employment practices, appropriate training,benefits, and safety.Develops and coordinates, training, development, andpromotion to ensure proper and effective staffing, personnel selection andpractices, strategic workforce planning and succession planning, skillsdevelopment, training, policy & practice interpretation andapplication. Assist managers in addressing individual and organizationaleffectiveness issues and compensation administration. Position willfunction as the Human Resources lead contact for the defined unit, determiningand providing services directly or from specialized support groups.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in HR Related Field or 10 years of Human Resources experience will be excepted in lieu of a degree

8-10 years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience are typically required

Background in the following human resources areas is typically required: strategic workforce planning, employee benefits, compensation, employment practices, employee development, and engagement

Familiarity with functional areas, policies and procedures

Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

Strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to present, influence and collaborate at the leadership level

Ability to consider both traditional and non-traditional approaches to human resource management

Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast-paced environment

Organizational and time management skills
