We’re exploring new ideas and opportunities – innovating to discover the breakthroughs necessary for tomorrow’s growth.And we are one team – creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.As a Section Manager you will lead team and supervise people in manufacturing sections to maximize efficiency in safety, quality, velocity and cost. Our East Peoria facility produces undercarriage track & components for track-type-tractor customers around the globe.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Monitors and improves shop floor safety, aggressively eliminates unsafe processes

Assures tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules

Determines priorities and works with scheduling team to meet production goals

Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staffing to meet flow and customer requirements

Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate

Establish & maintain robust safety action plans to maintain a proactive safety culture

Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule

Utilize Lean manufacturing techniques & methodologies& value stream mapping reviews to drive continuous improvement efforts with support teams

Evaluates, assess, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce training

Actively deploys 5S & Housekeeping improvements/teams

Practices and teaches CPS Guiding Principles

Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Team Leads and Team Members – including daily shift startup meetings.

Drives root cause corrective action projects and drives continuous improvement

Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics

Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures

QualificationsBasic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Leadership experience as Supervisor/Team Lead role

Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing operations processes, materials and / or quality

Top candidates will also have:

Prior experience in manufacturing / operations planning / or manufacturing engineering

Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.

Good communication, interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills

Experience in building, developing, and coaching team members to build the “Best Team”
